- No certification prerequisite
- Students under the age of 18 need consent from a parent or guardian
- Swim 200 meters without any swim or buoyancy aids, or swim 300 meters using a mask, snorkel and fins without stopping or standing
- Float or tread in water too deep to stand for ten (10) minutes
- You must complete the medical questionnaire and liability release form before diving

- Maximum training depth of 18 meters
- The maximum training depth for 10 and 11-year-old students is 12 meters
- Students aged 10-14 will be certified as a Junior Open Water Diver and must dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional or a certified adult. Once the student has turned 15, they will then be certified as an Open Water Diver
- Certification is awarded after completion of course and a pass mark of 80% or more is achieved
- If a passing mark isn’t achieved the first time round, students may retake the exam
- A 50% deposit is required upon enrolment, the remaining balance is due before the completion of the class
